By volunteering your time and enthusiasm you will experience an opportunity of a lifetime. You will be able to meet and exchange clown skills with your fellow joeys in their homeland.

COAI will supply you with a packet of information about the organization. This information will help you to explain our purpose and goals. Through personal communication, we can secure new international members as we promote the art of clowning.

Before you visit, contact the International Ambassador Chairperson. He/she will contact the ambassador of the country you are going to visit. He/she will also give you as many names as possible of clowns in the area you are visiting along with the surrounding area when available. We need as much lead time as possible.

You will then be given the informational packet and ambassador's badge. The badge should be worn at all times: as it becomes your "clown passport: for fun and laughter.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. You must be a member in good standings for COAI for Three years.
2. You must submit two pictures of yourself in and out of makeup to the Ambassador Chairperson. Pictures can be either Black and White or Color.
3. You must be able to communicate in the country you are visiting either by knowledge of their language or through and interpreter,
4. You must be willing to make the visit at your own expense
5. You should meet the other clowns and exchange clowning information and skills.
6. You must be willing to work closely with the International Ambassador Chairperson.
7. You must make a written report with pictures upon your return and submit it to the Calliope.
